The Longjinxi Water diversion Project in Fujian Province is the second water source project to ensure the safety of Xiamen's water supply and long-term water use. It is also the emergency water supply guarantee project for the 2017 BRICS Xiamen Summit. The project is a large (2) type project, the main structure is composed of Xikou dam, diversion tunnel and inlet and outlet, with a total investment of 370 million yuan. The sluice dam is equipped with 4 holes and the gravity dam section is arranged on both sides. The diversion tunnel is 13.9 kilometers long and the diversion flow is 10 cubic meters per second. It can transport 200 million cubic meters of high-quality water to Xiamen City annually. The project started in August 2011 and was completed in June 2017. In August 2017, water was stored in the sluice. In 2019, he won the Dayu Award of China Water Conservancy Engineering Quality Award.
